Proving your worth

While having a degree in the subject that out outsource in isn't necessary, proving that you can do what you claim you can do is essential.

Personally I've got a trail of work that I have completed and is available to view online. Also, when I join a freelancing website to find work, I always complete any in house tests.

These give my profile the professional touch that quality clients seek. They are able to view my work to see that it is of excellent standards. The in house tests also give the confidence that I am capable of doing what I claim I am.

What methods do you use to prove your worth?

Re: Proving your worth

I am thankful to have years of work behind me now helping to prove my reputation but starting it out was a little rough around the edges. Another thing that held me down for a bit was being a female in in a mostly male dominated industry. I took it as a challenge.
