Outsourcing FAQ

Outsourcing FAQ(add more from email)

If you haven’t already, register a username for yourself so you can discuss this topic in our About Just Outsourcing forum.

Please be sure to read over this outsourcing FAQ before contacting us with outsourcing questions or job proposals. From the following outsourcing FAQ, you can learn more about what we can (and cannot) do without incurring lost time and expenses.

If your outsourcing question is not answered here, contact us and we’ll answer it as promptly as we can.  We don’t keep normal business hours, however you can expect to hear from us Monday through Sunday from about noon to 10 p.m. on weekends, Pacific Time.

Outsourcing Hiring FAQ

Do you offer other outsourcing services?

Actually we offer quite a lot. The services that you see on the outsourcing services page are the most requested.

I need 50 700-word articles for $25 by tomorrow. Can you do this for me?

If you want quality work from Just Outsourcing (DocuMaker), then you must provide a reasonable amount of time to complete it — at a sensible rate. Outsourcing requests like the above are generally ignored, and more appropriate for authors of bad writing — NOT DocuMaker!

Can you write a free sample paragraph or article about a subject before I hire you?

Time constraints prevent us from writing free material. Please use our sample writing as a gauge. All of the sample outsourcing products we make available are provided so that you can get a reasonable idea of what to expect — before hiring us. Submitting free work — even as a test of some sort — puts us at a financial disadvantage, and it prevents us from devoting quality time to paying clients.

What happens if you can’t handle the work we want?

In the event that you present us with a job we’re unable to complete in the time allotted, we’ll let you know immediately (within 24 hours) so that you can begin pursuit of a different outsourcing service provider.

What if I’m not satisfied with the work you do. What then?

Based on the contract that you agree to, you may not have to pay for work that you feel is unsatisfactory. Diligent efforts are made to ensure that you are satisfied. However, if you aren’t satisfied, there are procedures put in place so that both you and Just Outsourcing can amicably solve any problems with the work you receive. Those procedures are enacted through RentACoder’s arbitration system.

I’ve never contracted a freelancer over the internet before. How will I know you won’t cut out on me?

If it will make you more comfortable, DocuMaker will deposit a percentage of your job’s cost into escrow as a motion of good faith.

Outsourcing Payment FAQ

What is RentACoder and why do we need to go through this service just to work with you?

RentACoder (RAC, Rent-A-Coder, etc.) is a 3rd-party international marketplace for freelance employment and provides free payment processing. More importantly, RentACoder offers an unbiased arbitration system in the event that two parties have a dispute over a work contract. So DocuMaker basically uses RentACoder as a 3rd party payment processor and protection buffer. Only in rare cases is work performed outside of a RentACoder contract.

I don’t want to go through RentACoder. How can we set up a contract amongst ourselves?

At this time, such an arrangement is unavailable. In the future, we may perform work outside of RentACoder through an up-front, full paid, and non-refundable service only.

Outsourcing Legal FAQ

Who owns the copyrights to the work I buy?

Just Outsourcing acts as a ghost-writer (ghost-programmer, ghost-artist, etc.) so copyrights remain with persons who purchase the work – not persons who create it. This is explained in the contract that you agree to while working with DocuMaker through via RentACoder.

Can I get the source code of the software I buy from you?

For exclusive rights to a software product, you will need to ask for custom software development.

Other Outsourcing FAQ

What does “DocuMaker” stand for?

DocuMaker is the abbreviated concatenation of two words: (1) The first half of “document”: docu-ment, and (2) the entire word, “maker.” In essence, DocuMaker stands for “maker of documents” or “document maker.” In other unrelated usage, a “documaker” is a documentary film producer.

I don’t see my question addressed here. How can I contact you?

You can send email to support@justoutsourcing.com.

Other (Misc)

I would like the source code to your database programs. Can I have it or buy it?

The source code of our database programs is not available. If you’re looking for a custom solution, contact us.

I would like to translate your databases into a different language. How can I do that?

Database translation would require source code release, and as previously mentioned, it’s not available.
