Affiliate Marketing with Content
Can content help increase commissions from selling affiliate products? This article looks at how content opens the doors to more possibilities and more opportunities to spread the word about affiliate products.
Content In Newsletters
Distributing a newsletter is a great way to increase affiliate sales because they give merchants a spam-free environment to advertise products at length. The trick to generating sales with affiliate products is to describe their usability and appropriateness. There couldn’t be a better way to do so than with your own content. Successful newsletters require great content so subscribers continue to read them and don’t unsubscribe.
Don’t stop with your own newsletter, though. To increase the exposure of your affiliate products, submit your content to other newsletters for publishing. This is a great way to get your affiliate links into the email boxes of hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Just don’t spam!

It’s interesting, but spamming takes on whole new definitions in different environments. In one sense, spamming is sending unsolicited commercial email. In another sense, spamming is simply talking about your product in a discussion forum! To avoid being accused of spam, design your content in a way that discusses your product (or your affiliation with one) in an objective manner. Then go on to include your product or affiliate link in the author bio section of your submitted article.
Here’s a list of electronic newsletters that may accept article submissions. Contact the administrator of each to find out what’s required.

Go Beyond The Inbox
Why stop at email? Since we’re talking about publishing, there’s no reason to limit your potential online. Go offline and submit your articles to offline magazines, associate newsletters, trade journals, and more. Again, to avoid being accused of spam, design your content in a way that discusses your product (or your affiliation with one) in an objective manner. Then go on to include your product or affiliate link in the author bio section of your submitted article.
