LanceEarner claims to do business in more than 210 countries despite having an underdeveloped website. Its model is based on the typical online outsourcing service model, but it clearly isn’t “finished.” We’re not sure this service is for real, and it may have been abandoned. Click our review standards for an explanation of ranking criteria and other related information. This website does not publicize adequate contact information, such as support email addresses, a physical address, and a phone number. Its own contact page points to Freelancer.com, suggesting this 'service' is an incomplete clone of some sort.
Fees and Payments
According to its terms of service, LanceEarner charges fees for posting a project (despite stating it doesn't on its home page); selecting a LanceEarner; posting a featured project; hiding a project from search engines; and hiding bids from other users. It also charges other non-disclosed miscellaneous fees, like a dormant account fee and a charge back fee. Membership status may affect fee types and amounts. It accepts PayPal payments, and suggests credit cards are welcome as well. A money-back guarantee (via onsite arbitration) is available with milestone payment projects only with an amount equal to or more than $20.
Consumer Security
LanceEarner does not work through a secured server, but it is declared 'Norton Safe'. Not surprisingly, LanceEarner isn't listed with the Better Business Bureau either.

LanceEarner's full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are open to the public, but its FAQ is not.
Buzz Factor
Onsite, LanceEarner provides a ratings/feedback system. Offsite, the service is not well-known, with only 157 external websites linking back to its own. See the Presence category for more.

Because LanceEarner's contact page points to Freelancer.com, we can't tell if this site provides any type of real support at all. It doesn't appear to offer an extensive help section as well.
Presence
As of the date of this review's publication, LanceEarner, ranked 1,827,258 by Alexa, provides access to an unknown number of contractors. It surprisingly maintains a company presence on Twitter and Facebook, but not LinkedIn or Wikipedia. As expected, it has not released any press releases.
