Thanks to word processing tools, writing a resume is easier than ever before. Thanks to online tools, writing a resume can be a simple matter of picking a fancy design and filling out a form. We’ve definitely come a long way since the 2-column, typewritten job summary. We’ve come so far, in fact, we’ve accomplished what was once deemed impossible only decades ago.
Enter the Video Resume

The “old days” of sitting down at a typewriter and trying to pump out an error-free resume are gone. We’ve thankfully bid goodbye to those archaic machines, half-empty bottles of White Out, and 500-page reams of paper in favor of travel-free, digital creation and distribution.
For today, we have the likes of Skype, LinkedIn, and other Internet tools specifically designed to get anyone looking for employment noticed a lot faster and a lot more efficiently.
There’s Something About The Video Resume
It’s admittedly difficult to demonstrate one’s current status, previous work history, and availability in electronic format — at least, it’s more difficult electronically than it is on paper. But there’s something about the video resume that facilitates an employer’s decision to hire. Perhaps it’s the energy conveyed on screen, the face-to-face intimacy, the sincerity, the spontaneity, or the professionalism.
Whatever it is, it’s transforming the way we make hiring choices — which is why we’ve dedicated a whole section of Just Outsourcing to the display of select service provider video resumes. Take a look at what’s presented. If you see something you like, drop us a line and we’ll put you in touch with the person(s) who made an impression.
