First, if you use your computer for work related tasks, and you suspect that you have a virus behind repair, replace your computer with a brand new one — but don’t throw the old one away! Use your old computer as a learning tool. Keep it separate from your newer PC to avoid mixing and sharing infected disks, and [please] refrain from using it to connect to the Internet. What you have before you is an opportunity to learn more about viruses, how to delete them, and how to avoid them.

Second, use your newer PC to research the net about adware, spyware, and viruses, and then use it to download our protective software. Download a copy for your new computer and download a copy to install onto your infected computer. Proceed to de-infect your old computer and learn through hands-on-experience as well as through research. Be sure to share your story with other computer users so that they can learn as well.
